Arm / Disarm System

  • Arm using 2GIG console – Stay
    • Press Security > Arm > Stay
  • Entry Delay –  allows someone returning home time to disarm the system before the alarm sounds
  • Silent Exit – system does not chime during Exit Delay (the time allotted for someone to leave after arming the system for Away mode)
  • Disarm using 2GIG console
    • Press Security > Disarm > enter user code
  • Arm using 2GIG console – Away
    • Press Security > Arm > Away
  • Arm using 2GIG console – Bypass
    • Press Security > Arm > Bypass
  • Arm using keyfob – Stay
    • Press and hold Stay button for 2 seconds
  • Disarm using keyfob
    • Press and hold Disarm button for 2 seconds

    • Press and hold Away button for 2 seconds

Add Access Code

  • Add access code using 2GIG console with a schedule
    • Press Security > Menu > Toolbox > enter code > User Management > Manage Users > Add User # > Enter code > OK > Reenter Code > OK > OK > By Schedule > Edit Schedule > Add Schedule > Reoccurring > [No Days selected] > Select Days & Times > OK > OK
  • Delete access code using 2GIG console
    • Security > Menu > Toolbox > enter code > User Management > Manage Users > select user > Delete > Delete User
  • Add access code from Alarm.com
    • Click Security > User codes > Add a User > enter first/last name > Save > Security > User codes > enter code for newly created user > Security Panel Access > Save
  • Delete access code from Alarm.com (system must be disarmed
    • Click Notifications > Address Book > Delete > OK

 

Event History

  • Check event history using 2GIG console
    • Press Security > Menu > Toolbox > enter code > System History
  • Check event history from Alarm.com
    • Click History
  • Check event history using Android app
    • Press History
  • Check event history using iOS app
    • Press History

 

Video

  • View live video from Alarm.com
    • Click Video > Live Video
  • View saved video from Alarm.com
    • Click Video > Saved Video Clips

Alarm.com

  • Set a system triggered recording schedule for Sensor > Front Door > Open
    • Click Video > Recording Schedules > Add A Systemtriggered Schedule > Sensor > Front Door > Opened > At All Times > BVU Test camera > Save
  • Delete event
    • Click Video > Recording Schedules > Delete > OK
  • Configure Camera Video Motion Detection windows 1, 2, and 3
    • Click Video > Recording Schedules > Camera Video Motion Detection (VMD) settings > choose a VMD window # > draw window area > Save    (Select additional window #’s, draw , and Save as needed )
  • Set recording schedule for Video Motion Detection
    • Click Video > Recording Schedules > Add A Motion-triggered Schedule > BVU Test camera > At All Times > 30 sec > Do Not Record When System is Armed Stay > Do Not Record When Any Of The GeoDevices {Motorola Droid Razr} Are Inside Geo-Fence {Home} > Save
  • Delete event
    • Click Video > Recording Schedules > Delete

 

Home Automation

  • Turn on / off a light using 2GIG console
    • Press Services > Switches > Z-wave Wall Outlet Switch > On or Off
  • Turn on / off a light from Alarm.com
    • Click empower > Lights > On or Off
  • Turn on / off a light using Android  app
    • Press Lights > check desired box(s) > Set Lights
  • Turn on / off a light using iOS app
    • Press More > Lights > check desired radio button(s) > Set Lights
  • On 2GIG console create scene for the light to be on (at any brightness). Then create a rule that uses that scene when alarm is set Armed: Away
    • Press Services > Scene > Add Scene > enter name > OK > Add Action > Z-wave Wall Outlet > Switch > On > OK > Back > Back > Rules > Add Rule > System Armed Away > name of scene> OK
  • Delete rule
    • Press Services > Rules > System Armed Away > Delete > Delete Rule > OK
  • Delete scene
    • Press Services > Scenes > select a scene > Trash button > Delete Scene > OK
  • Create rule to turn on light for 30 seconds when alarm is set Armed (Away) from Alarm.com
    • Click empower > Rules > Add a Rule > enter a name > Arm/Disarm > {Armed Away} > At All Times > {Turn On} > {30 seconds} > Device 4: Light Dimmer > Save
  • Delete rule
    • Click empower > Rules > Delete > OK
  • Delete scene
    • Press Services > Scenes > select a scene > Trash button > Delete Scene > OK

 

Other

  • Set Date and Time using 2GIG console
    • Press Security > Menu > Toolbox > enter code > Forward Arrow > Set Date > enter date > OK > OK > Set Time > enter time > OK > OK
  • Calibrate the Touch Screen using the 2GIG console
    • Press Security > Menu > Toolbox > enter code > Forward Arrow > Calibrate Touch-Screen > touch each cross > OK
  • Add an address book contact from Alarm.com
    • Click Notifications > Address Book > Add Contact > enter first / last name > Add Email Address > enter email address > Add Mobile Address > {USA} > pick cell carrier > enter phone number > Save
  • Turn on Arming Event for Arm Stay notification from Alarm.com
    • Click Notifications > Arming Event ON > Edit image > uncheck Disarm and Arm Away > At All Times > Address Book image > check contact > Close > Save Notification
  • Turn off notification
    • Click Notifications > Arming Event Off
  • Delete contact
    • Click Notifications > Address Book > Delete > OK
